Legal Statement for Event Attendance

Private Property & Invitation Only

This event is being held on private property located in the State of Michigan. Attendance is by invitation only. Any unauthorized entry onto the property outside of the designated event time or without explicit permission from the property owner constitutes trespassing and may result in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.

Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

All attendees acknowledge that participation in any activities while on the premises is voluntary and at their own risk. The property owner is not responsible or liable for any injuries, accidents, illnesses, or damages to personal property, including but not limited to vehicles and recreational vehicles. Attendees are strongly encouraged to have appropriate insurance coverage for their personal belongings, including vehicles and recreational equipment.

Kayak & Canoe Activities

A portion of the event includes a kayak and canoe trip. Some attendees may choose to use a private company that provides its own legal waiver for the use of their equipment, while others may use their own private equipment. Attendees using their own equipment are solely responsible for their safety and compliance with all applicable kayaking and canoeing water safety regulations, including but not limited to wearing approved personal flotation devices (PFDs), following water navigation rules, and ensuring their equipment is in good working condition. The property owner assumes no responsibility for accidents, injuries, or damages related to kayaking and canoeing activities.

Alcohol & Marijuana Use

Alcohol will be present at the event. The property owner does not assume responsibility for any individual's consumption of alcohol, including but not limited to underage drinking. It is the responsibility of each attendee to consume alcohol responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. Any individual found violating alcohol-related laws may be subject to removal from the event and potential legal consequences.

Recreational use of marijuana is legal in the State of Michigan. Attendees who choose to use marijuana must do so in compliance with all state laws, including age restrictions and public consumption regulations. The property owner assumes no responsibility for individuals' marijuana use, including any legal consequences that may arise from misuse or possession in violation of state laws. Attendees are expected to consume responsibly and respect the rights of others at the event.

Photography & Image Use

Photography is allowed during the event unless an individual explicitly denies permission to have their photo taken. Any photographs taken by the property owner may be used on the event’s website. By uploading any image to the event website or the associated Facebook event page, attendees grant the property owner permission to use the image for promotional purposes in future events. Third parties have no rights to any of the photographs used in connection with this event.

By attending this event, all attendees acknowledge and accept the terms outlined above.

Privacy Statement

The event website is private and accessible only to authenticated users. All user passwords are protected using secure hashing methods. The website is secured with a registered SSL certificate and exclusively allows HTTPS traffic to ensure data protection and privacy. The site also has an API integration with Google Maps to provide location-based information. By using the website, attendees acknowledge and agree to Google's Privacy Policy, which can be accessed at Google Privacy Policy.

The designer of the website is not liable for any data that is accessed or used illegally. All reasonable efforts have been made to ensure data security and to protect user information from unauthorized access.
